Somatic Yoga + nature grounding to support your mind + body in recovering from hurricane stress, while also helping Mindful Bloom rebuild.
Join us to move your body, ground in nature, and support your nervous system in healing from the stress of this hurricane season.
Alissa Vreeland is a psychotherapist turned trauma-trained somatic coach and yoga teacher. Mindful Bloom is a local flower farm with the mission of sharing the joy and meditative practice of flower growing.
This collaborative workshop will get you outside in the beauty of our natural environment for some fresh air, sunshine, and relaxation.
The hour-long somatic yoga practice is designed to help you re-balance your nervous system state with gentle and intuitive movement. We will then head into the flower field for an hour of gardening and grounding in nature.
Our theme for the class is surrender and acceptance. Sophie, the owner of Mindful Bloom, has lost much of her garden to the hurricane-- but believes there is a beautiful lesson in surrendering to the rhythm of nature and accepting what is.
We will spend time journaling, moving, and gardening with the intention to surrender and accept whatever is true for you at this moment in time. All emotions and experiences are valid.
We hope to see you there 🌸
